Repainting old models is usually a daunting challenge. But it can also bring some satisfaction too when you how the final results put a new live into mini.

This February goes in Games Workshop under Dwarf theme. The most beloved army got a new armybook after eight years of silence (sic!). Well, there a few words to say about new Dwarfs (or a lot to complain samo says ^^), but before that, let`s take a look back in history of Dwarf miniatures. It is no suprise that the old casts for Dwarfs were so good that many of them are immortal and seeked by many collectors. Some time ago I was asked by a friend to make some refreshments in his garisson. With the Anvil of Doom I managed to add some composition of photos before-and-after painting so you can easily figure out how other minis looked before I upgraded them. Note that this is only army standard painting. And remember! – for better quality of painting it is always adviced to strip off the old paint!

And what do you think about new wave of Dwarfs versus those old ones? Are those changes are for better? Or maybe “the old times are gone”?:)
